This photo shows Cannon, and family friend Zac, on "Cannon Street" in Hamilton, Ontario.  Zac and our son Kyle participated in a Remembrance Day (Veteran's Day) parade with their Air Cadet squadron on November 11, 2006, and when we saw this marble cornerstone on the sidewalk, I couldn't resist snapping a photo.

Cannon attracted much attention from by-standers during the 2-hour parade.  At least a hundred people asked about him (What kind of dog is he? How old is he? How much does he weigh? Can I pat him?).

Cannon took everything in stride, and had a friendly kiss for everyone, although the Marching Band, with its loud, crashing drums, did take him a bit by surprise at first.

He certainly brightened a cold, rainy, gray day for many in downtown Hamilton, and has proven himself, in typical Kireisa style, to be a wonderful ambassador for the Akita breed.

As can be seen in the photos, Cannon is all white, with striking dark pigment.  He is extremely devoted to the family, and has the most incredible, affectionate and outgoing temperament.  Cannon has grown into an magnificent Akita, fully mature and has realizing the future promise that we saw in him as a youngster, as evidenced by his many successes in competition at dog shows and specialties in Canada and the U.S.  Cannon has been recognized and complimented by breeders and fanciers around the world (view his Show Record for photos), and has also proved his worth as a sire, producing  puppies who share his tremendous good looks and temperament.

Cannon's mission in life remains:  To endear himself to as many people as he can meet, and enjoy the good life, as you'll see by going to "View More Photos".
